A year or so ago I was invited to provide some artwork for Stephen Fry's "100 Greatest Gadgets" on Channel 4 in the UK.
The drawings were to depict three gadgets that Stephen Fry had dreamt up to improve his life.
I was provided with a quick brief: something to make running on a treadmill more exciting, something so that you could see inside your mouth when you clean your teeth, something to take off your shoes and pamper your feet when you get home.
With clock ticking (metaphorically), I decided I probably wouldn't be able to get these gadgets to the blueprint stagm from scratch so I decided to collage them from the brilliant series of Dover Books out-of-copyright image collections.
These are the results.
